Fairy Mischief: A new game for girls

Fairy Mischief

While at PAX East, I stopped by a booth to pick up Miskotonic School for Girls and Flame War, and had a great conversation about a new game for girls that is currently on Kickstarter called Fairy Mischief.   The artwork for this game is beautiful, and the basic premise of the game is based on the classic card game, War.  But it was designed specifically for girls.

Fairy Mischief is a super fun game that has been designed to help transition girls from the classic card game War, to something a little more gamery. With the obvious hope of brainwashing…uh…encouraging girls to have a life long love of games that don’t need to live inside a glowing rectangle.

Fairy Mischief is designed to grow with kids. There are several ways to play the game included in the box.  No one knows your kid better than you, so Susie and Jay designed a game where you can easily add or change rules as your kid masters the game – but the core mechanic and goal stay the same. This makes the game a good fit for a very wide range of ages and allows the game to grow with a child.

Check out their Kickstarter page to see how the game-play works.  You should help support this game and to be the first to get a copy!
