Let’s Play! Role Playing Alternatives to Screen Time

This week we talked with Ally & Thomas Sulentic about role playing alternatives to screen time. There are so many games that use role playing as a mechanic (not just Dungeons & Dragons!) but we talk about traditional tabletop role playing games too! Role playing encourages imagination and creativity. It helps kids with perspective taking, language and communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills and cooperation. This is a long but worthwhile episode that will spark your imagination about ways to encourage your kids to play use role playing in their games to occupy themselves as a healthy, fun alternative to screen time activities.
