This week, Krysten interviewed Evan Colbert, therapist and expert in children and families about how to deal with the constant cry of “I’m bored” from your kids. There’s lots of great information in this episode along with practical strategies for activities for kids to do instead of grabbing a phone or joystick. Evan recommended  finding local community support in your local YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs, Boy & Girl Scouts, Adventure Programs (like ours) to get kids outdoors, into nature or just physically moving.

Two books by Dan Siegel.  1) The Whole Brain Child and, 2) No Drama Discipline. We talked about Siegel’s theory that, ‘what fires together, wires together.’
