RICHARD FRASER

How long have you been working in adventure games?

Just startes

How would you describe your style?

I am player first. I like to set up a world full of powder kegs and give the players a mbook of matches. I prefer the story of the world more than the characters, but, by all means, let’s burn it down.

What makes you unique as a performer?

I like to follow the lead of my players and steer the game in directions they are interested in. I like to foreshadow, so it pays to take notes.

What else should people know about you?

I love to talk and engage with people, I live for GM theory and am good at advising GMs to be their best.

What tabletop game systems can you run?

Into the Odd, 2400, Freebooters on the Frontier, Stas Without Number, Worlds Without Number, B/X D&D, 5e D&D

What apps or software do you use to run your games?

Foundry VTT, discord, World Anvil, Zoom

The king of the extra mile

Rich never failed to wow when we met to game with him. Whether he brought a huge flatscreen and laid it horizontally on the table for a larger than life map, or constructed a triple decker 3D map for an epic uphill battle, he used every tool at his disposal to immerse and amaze.
After COVID, he spared no expense on the best digital maps, losing no steam. I still remember the sense of wonder that came with doing a murder mystery and seeing the animated scenery moving by outside the train; and how the light from my character shone out the windows in distinct beams.
I’ve learned so much from rich about how the game is played, and to date he is the only DM to take me from 1 to 20.
