Camp Mythos

Inspired by world mythology and Percy Jackson–style adventures, campers train as demigods, complete quests, interact with mythic characters, and uncover ancient secrets.

Welcome to Camp Mythos

At Camp Mythos, your child doesn’t just learn about mythology—they live it. Inspired by beloved stories like Percy Jackson and the rich tapestry of world mythology, campers step into the role of demigods-in-training, embarking on epic quests that blend ancient legends with modern adventure.

Each week at Camp Mythos is a journey of discovery, teamwork, and heroism. Campers are sorted into cabins representing different mythological pantheons (Greek, Roman, Egyptian, or Norse), where they’ll work together to complete challenges, solve riddles, interact with mythic characters, and uncover ancient mysteries. From training in combat and archery to deciphering ancient prophecies, every activity is designed to immerse kids in a world where they’re the heroes of their own epic tale.

This isn’t just a camp—it’s a transformative experience where imagination meets education, where shy kids find their voice through character play, and where every child discovers their unique talents and strengths.

A Day in the Life of a Demigod

Picture this: Your camper arrives at Camp Mythos and is greeted by their cabin counselor—a skilled “quest leader” who guides them through the week’s adventures. After morning assembly where the Oracle delivers the day’s prophecy, cabins split up for training sessions. One group might be mastering archery at the “Artemis Range,” while another decodes hieroglyphics in the “Temple of Thoth,” and still others strategize for the afternoon’s quest challenge.

At midday, the entire camp gathers for a collaborative challenge—perhaps defending Olympus from invading monsters, or recovering a stolen artifact from the Underworld. These large-scale scenarios require teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving as campers use the skills they’ve learned throughout the week.

Afternoons bring character development workshops where campers create their own demigod personas, write origin stories, and perform heroic scenes. The week culminates in an epic final quest—a camp-wide adventure that ties together all the storylines, challenges, and character arcs from the week.

What Makes Camp Mythos Special

Camp Mythos stands apart because we understand that every child is a hero in their own story. Our program is carefully designed to:

Celebrate All Learning Styles: Whether your child is a natural leader, a creative thinker, or someone who shines when given time to observe and plan, Camp Mythos provides opportunities for every type of learner to excel.

Build Real Skills Through Play: While campers are having the time of their lives battling “hydras” and decoding prophecies, they’re actually developing critical thinking, emotional intelligence, physical coordination, and collaborative problem-solving skills that serve them long after camp ends.

Create Inclusive Community: We’ve worked with thousands of kids, including many who are neurodivergent, shy, or new to group programs. Our trained counselors excel at creating a supportive environment where every camper feels valued, safe, and empowered to participate at their own comfort level.

Combine Education with Adventure: Parents love that Camp Mythos sneaks in learning about ancient cultures, languages, history, and literature—all wrapped in an adventure so engaging that kids don’t even realize they’re absorbing knowledge.
